This antique Wedgwood piece dates from 1849 according to the old note still visible on the back of the piece, and from our own research. The pattern of the piece is called “California” and depicts early California circa 1800s. A stunning piece of history, this trivet features early flow blue transfer print on Pearlware, an earthenware with a bluish-white glaze introduced by Josiah Wedgwood in 1779. Made in England.
