$126.00
description
A handsome vintage Peterboro pie basket, generously sized and beautifully handwoven. Classically round, with supple braided leather handles, a removable wooden riser for transporting dishes, and a wooden lid topped with its own carved handle. Rooted in the long New England basket-making tradition of Peterboro Basket Company, whose basket-making history dates to 1854 in Peterborough, New Hampshire, this piece carries the enduring charm of an American-made kitchen tradition.
Perfect for carrying pies, cakes, or a favorite dish to gatherings, it is equally lovely displayed in the kitchen as a storied vintage piece made for both usefulness and enjoyment. Unparalleled craftsmanship and charm!
