Shaker Bent Wood Sifter
Shaker Bent Wood Sifter
$44.00
description
This vintage bent wood sieve, also known as a sifter or riddle, has beautiful shaker details in the swallow-tail joinery and copper fasteners. The beautiful wood used is likely ash or pine. Used globally throughout history for making pasta and all manner of other flour-based goods, they were an essential farmhouse and kitchen tool.
Both sculptural and practical, it evokes a slower, more intentional approach to cooking, where preparation was as meaningful as the meal itself. Resting against a wall or hung within reach, it adds warmth, texture, and authentic character to a thoughtfully layered kitchen.
Dimensions | 8” x 3.5”
