English Staffordshire Transferware

English Staffordshire Transferware

$16.00

description

These beautiful dishes were made by Ridgway, a Staffordshire pottery company that was established in England in 1792. This set of Transferware is from the series called "Coaching Days" and depicts scenes of old English stagecoach routes and inns.

This series was produced with amber brown transfer ware pottery and the scenes were inspired by illustrations from the book "Coaching Days and Coaching Ways" by W. Outram Tristram, first published in 1888. We think these dishes would make an absolutely lovey addition to your autumnal gatherings!
