Produced by the publishing house staff as a Christmas gift to Mr & Mrs. Nathaniel Currier in 1853, it depicts the two of them in their favorite sleigh. It was added to the collection of images offered by Currier & Ives’ publishing house, as Mr. Currier was so pleased with the image.
