A timeless blend of craftsmanship and functionality. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using traditional methods, evoking a rustic charm that adds character to any kitchen. All of them but one is a ladle- which means one stands out- the skimmer. What we call a skimmer, the French call an écumoire. This particular kitchen tool is used to skim unwanted debris and fat from the surface of bouillon as it simmers.
The over-sized proportions and substantial weight of this beautiful pieces brings to mind huge boiling pots being stirred and skimmed. The different sized ladles look so great in a grouping. These pieces would be amazing statement pieces on your wall or hanging from a hook in your kitchen! There’s lovely patina on the brass. These old pieces also have some rusting on the handles and small cracks and scratches as shown in photos. The back center rivet is missing from the skimmer. We think the patina of the pieces just add to the charm.
